GIFT VII Match
Lilly’s GIFT VII 2:1 Match to Build the Community Fund
Your donation of any size triples!
Lilly Endowment Inc., an Indianapolis-based private philanthropic foundation founded by members of the Eli Lilly family, is providing an exciting match – GIFT VII – to help build Marshall County Community Funds.
From now through September 30, 2021, Lilly Endowment Inc. will match all gifts to the MCCF Community Fund with two dollars for every dollar contributed, up to $500,000.
Unrestricted endowment funds, we call them Community Funds, are the most flexible and responsive funds at MCCF in addressing current and emerging needs. Grants from Community Funds support projects focusing on the arts, education, health and human services, recreation, building quality of life and the environment.
The first grants from unrestricted funds at MCCF were awarded in 1995; since then MCCF has awarded over $4.1 million in total grants to the community from these funds alone. The growth of unrestricted funds now enables MCCF to award more than $233,000 in grants annually to nonprofits serving Marshall County. As the MCCF Community Funds grow, so does the power to support innovative and collaborative projects working to make Marshall County a better place to live, work and play.
Your gift maximizes this remarkable opportunity to help Marshall County take flight!
HOW THE MATCH WORKS
- Before September 30, 2021, make a gift or irrevocable pledge to the Foundation’s Community Fund.
- Lilly Endowment Inc. will match that gift 2-to-1, tripling its value. For example, your $100 gift will draw $200 in matching dollars—a total benefit of $300 to support Marshall County communities!
- Irrevocable pledges received by September 30, 2021, would then need to be paid by December 31, 2023, to qualify. This allows for multiple year contributions. This offer expires when all match funds are earned OR on September 30, 2021, whichever occurs first.
